About Us

We Are a Team of Innovators and Problem Solvers

We understand the reality of technical design and creative vision – our experience allows us to fuse the two together to offer a range of services that bring ideas to life and guarantee project success.
We’ve worked on both sides of the fence when it comes to leading-edge, visionary, beautifully executed projects, sites and events.  We wholly understand and can contribute to the creative process, but can also advise and oversee the the technical design and delivery elements at any stage in the project.
Having worked micro projects and large-scale ones too, we are equally comfortable engaging with a single vendor – or upwards of thirty vendors – and engage every project with specialist attention to detail and an open, honest and highly knowledgeable approach.
We work directly with design and creative teams, project vendors and you – the client – helping to establish a rational lead.

We will help you and your project stay on track.

Where we work

Immersive Queues & Walk-Throughs

Guests should always feel engaged the moment they enter a theme park and more specifically the queue line. You want to introduce the guests to the story and theme of the experience well before they jump into the main attraction at the height of the action. We want to maintain the guest’s attention throughout a queue system but also in walkthrough attractions.
Through the use of theming, complex AV and lighting techniques such as projection mapping, spatial audio, scare moments and even a few easter eggs scattered along the way, we ensure that the storyline is delivered from the get go but also ensure there is always something to see on a return visit. This creative and technical driven process can help retrofit and give a facelift to older attractions, such as rollercoasters, and deliver a new or adjusted storyline that takes the attraction to the next level.

Dark Rides & Media Coasters

Blue Alchemy Labs can take guests on a unique journey delivering immersive stories using next-generation technologies including traditional rendered media or even real-time game engines for interactivity.
With our show control capabilities we seamlessly integrate these media scenes with localised lighting and audio, SAP and SAE along with timing this to on-board SFX in the ride vehicle itself.

Domes & Immersive Screens

With over 20 years working in the specialised screen market, Blue Alchemy Labs is one of the premier design groups when it comes to dome theatres, immersive tunnels or wrapping content around people up to 360 degrees.
Our complex designs have changed over the years since we started making them more affordable and more immersive. Whether synching ride systems and SFX to complex 20 channel display systems, or designing the world’s highest resolution dome display, Blue Alchemy Labs can deliver.

VR, AR & XR

The key to delivering a great mixed reality experience is seamless integration of SFX, haptic, and spatial audio effects while telling an enticing story. With a background in theatrical storytelling and design at its core, Blue Alchemy Labs is able to utilise these new technologies to deliver new cutting-edge experiences by blending physical and virtual worlds.
With experience delivering mixed reality walk-throughs, free roaming VR and branded AR for mobile and tablets, Blue Alchemy Labs has a wide range of experience in the multidimensional realm.

Museums & Education

We love education and we love entertainment but don’t ask us to use the word ‘edutainment’. When Blue Alchemy first started we were mainly focussed on the science museum world delivering planetariums, interactive and exhibitions so they hold a dear place in our heart.
Over the years, having worked in the themed entertainment industry, we have been able to marry all of our skillsets to deliver cutting-edge, educational and exciting experiences to a museum budget without having to get rid of the ‘wow’. Using show control techniques, all your exhibits across the museum or educational space can be controlled from one centralised location.

Consultancy & Design Reviews

If you’re looking to make a brand impact, increase footfall, or reach a new demographic but don’t know how to start, our experienced team can help determine the options available and manage the process.
Our team are always on hand for design reviews, analysing even the smallest of details to create the right experience for your guests. Whether it’s some advice on a technical solution or doing concept level drawings to win a project we can help manage your client’s expectations from the start.
